The flow of his poems kind of remind me of the way I would read your poems (except his poems are longer obviously). The last part of his poem is my favourite.
I absolutely love Shel Silverstein. Practically the best poetry I read when I was younger - and was definitely my favourite. Every kid should grow up with his poetry.
Minimalistic/simple poetry have always been my preference and usually my favourite, so we're on the same page there! I can't write long poetry either.
